There are six (6) priority areas viz., New Chemical Entity/New Biological entity/new phytochemical entity, Complex generics/biosimilars, Precision Medicine, Medical Devices, Orphan Drugs and Drug Development for AMR   2. There are three (3) categories of funding:   a) Category I – Funding up to 35% of project cost or Rs.125 crores, whichever is less. Any Company with not less than Rs. 1000 crore annual revenue and with R&D expenditure of 3-5% is eligible to apply. The project has to be undertaken in collaboration with any of the notified Centers of Excellence. Only 9 (nine) companies will be selected   b) Category II: Funding up to 35% project cost Rs. 100 crores, whichever is less. Any company working on R&D projects of above priority areas is eligible to apply, provided the project is at TRL (Technology Readiness Level) 5 or 6. Thirty (30) projects will be selected.   c) Category III: Funding up to Rs. 1 crore per project. Start Ups and MSMEs working on project in the priority areas are eligible to apply for projects from TRL 1-4. One hundred Twenty five (125) projects will be selected.   d) Last date for submission of Expression of Interest is 7th April 2025.
